Integrating Risk, Governance and Sustainability for Strategic Resilience

Most organisations manage risk, governance and sustainability separately. IGRSA™ our- framework defines – how they come together as a single strategic capability.

Integrated Governance, Risk & Sustainability Architecture (IGRSA™)

OUR FRAMEWORK

Integrated Governance, Risk & Sustainability Architecture (IGRSA™)

Five Domains. One Integrated Architecture.

Governance

Direction, accountability, oversight.

Risk Intelligence & Management

Insight, prioritisation, action.

Sustainability & Value Creation

Impact, innovation, value.

Assurance

Confidence, verification, control.

Resilience & Adaptability

Anticipate, respond, adapt, thrive.

IGRSA™ is the structured architecture behind LCRS’s approach to organisational capability, connecting governance, enterprise risk, sustainability, assurance, and resilience into a single view of how organisations make decisions, manage uncertainty, and build long-term value.

This architecture underpins everything LCRS delivers, including research, executive education, advisory services, and the assessment and recognition pathway offered through the Sustainability Leadership League (SLL™).

Why LCRS Matters

Organisations today operate in an increasingly interconnected risk environment. Climate change, geopolitical instability, cyber threats, supply-chain disruption, regulatory change, financial uncertainty and rapid technological development can affect strategy, operations, reputation and long-term performance simultaneously.

The World Economic Forum’s Global Risks Report consistently reinforces this picture, with geopolitical, economic, technological, societal and environmental risks increasingly interacting rather than occurring in isolation. At the same time, developments such as IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 are strengthening expectations for organisations to understand how sustainability-related risks connect with governance, strategy and performance.

Yet many organisations still manage enterprise risk, governance, sustainability, resilience and assurance through separate structures. A cyber incident, for example, is rarely just an IT risk: it can disrupt critical operations, expose governance weaknesses, create financial and regulatory consequences, damage stakeholder confidence and test the organisation’s ability to recover all at once.

The London Centre for Risk and Sustainability (LCRS) promotes a more integrated approach helping leaders strengthen governance, risk, sustainability, resilience and assurance so that interconnected risks are understood, decisions are better informed, and institutions are better prepared for uncertainty and disruption.

Our work spans seven pillars:

How LCRS and SLL Work Together

The Sustainability Leadership League (SLL™) is LCRS’s assessment and recognition platform, underpinned by the IGRSA™ architecture.

Start with the complimentary SLL™ Explorer Assessment to understand your organisation’s capability across five areas: Governance, Risk Intelligence, Sustainability, Assurance and Resilience.

Your results highlight strengths and priority areas for improvement. Where further support is needed, LCRS provides independent assessment, advisory expertise and capability development to help translate insight into measurable organisational improvement.
